Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s aide and Khalistani terrorist, Arsh Dalla arrested in Canada

Canadian police have arrested Arshdeep Singh, also known as Arsh Dalla, a prominent Khalistani terrorist and one of India’s most-wanted criminals, in connection with a recent shootout in Milton, Canada, sources told media house, India Today TV.

Indian security agencies have confirmed receiving information about Dalla’s arrest, which took place after his suspected involvement in an armed confrontation on October 27 or 28, 2024.

According to Indian intelligence sources, Dalla, who is wanted in India for multiple criminal activities, has been living in Canada with his wife. The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is leading the investigation into the recent shootout in Milton.

Indian authorities are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with Canadian law enforcement to gather further details.

Arsh Dalla is a key figure in the Khalistani Tiger Force and was regarded as the successor to the slain terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. In September 2024, Dalla claimed responsibility for the murder of Baljinder Singh Balli, a Congress leader shot dead at his residence in Moga district, Punjab. Dalla stated that Balli had ruined his life and forced him into a life of crime, accusing the Congress leader of orchestrating the police detention of his mother, which fueled his desire for revenge.

Dalla, who is also on the National Investigation Agency (NIA)’s terrorist list, has been allegedly orchestrating criminal activities in Punjab from his base in Canada for the past three to four years. A native of Moga, Punjab, he is linked to several terrorist killings and violent incidents in the state.

Punjab Police had previously dismantled several terrorist modules linked to Dalla, arresting his associates and seizing explosive devices, including IEDs, hand grenades, and other arms and ammunition.

The arrest of Arsh Dalla marks a significant development in the ongoing efforts to combat Khalistani terrorism and criminal activity, with Indian authorities seeking his extradition to face charges in India.
