86 trains cancelled in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh

South Central Railway (SCR) has announced significant disruptions due to severe weather conditions affecting Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The unprecedented heavy rain and flooding have led to the cancellation and diversion of numerous trains.

Railway tracks in Telangana, particularly in Mahabubabad district, have been severely damaged. Concrete supports have been washed away in some areas.

Restoration work is ongoing between Kesamudram and Intikanne stations. Officials anticipate that at least one track will be restored by Monday afternoon. Senior SCR officials are actively supervising these restoration efforts.

The disruptions have affected multiple key routes connecting major cities in the region, including those traveling between important destinations such as Vijayawada, Guntur, and Visakhapatnam.

SCR has advised passengers to check the latest updates and status of their trains before travel, as the situation remains dynamic and subject to change based on ongoing weather conditions and restoration progress.
