The Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association held a free health camp in six wards of Kavre, offering medical services at no cost.
On 11th of March 2023 (Falgun 27th), in Kathmandu, the Nepal Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association successfully completed its 17th free health camp across six wards of Panchkhal and Kavre.
The special guest, Ambassador Umar Ali, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal, and the chief guest, Surymaya Danuwar, Deputy Mayor of Panchkhal Municipality, jointly inaugurated the camp by lighting a lamp.
In her speech, the chief guest, Suryamaya Danuwar, spoke about the impact of the charity camp on the health sector of the backward Panchkhal municipality and how it has motivated the villagers.
Ambassador Umar Ali expressed his commitment to continue supporting this kind of charity service in Nepal to strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
Similarly, the President of the Nepal Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association, Manjuratna Shakya, shared that the organization has been organizing health camps in remote areas of Nepal every year for the past seventeen years in the month of Falgun.
In this particular health camp, doctors who have obtained higher education in health from Pakistan and served in Nepal examined a total of 291 male and female patients for pediatric, orthopedic, diabetes, and gynecological diseases. The patients were provided with free medicine by pediatric specialist Dr. Ramesh Malla, Orthopaedic specialist Dr Bharat Amatya, and gynecologist Dr. Bhavna Shilpkar.
Additionally, Tara Thapa, head teacher of Bhavisya Higher Secondary School, was given a computer, printer, and scanner.
